Paleonet: Just out

Hi, Roy,

And Happy 2020! I can recall when I was 20 yrs old wondering whether I'd make it to 2020...and here we are.

Really enjoyed reading your future Taph paper - so carefully researched and a wonderful source of ideas and references. It's spurring me on to get some writing of my own done in the next few months.

Have you come across "The Origin of Feces" by David Waltner-Toews? It's a funny+ serious look at the concentration of waste in the Anthropocene, relevant to your paper. I should have brought it to your attention before now (always more to learn...).

Thanks! Can’t wait to see the recycling paper!
BTW – added the section on taphonomy after a reviewer indicated implicitly that diagenesis = fossilization.

Wonderful, Roy!!! It will be great to see the final version.

With the Fossil Hall open and the Bearded Lady Project exhibit also open, I’m looking ahead to getting some writing done at long last – including my “Recycling and the Fossil Record” manuscript, which I’m eager to finish and submit.
