Charles Schuchert and Carl O. Dunbar Grants-in-Aid Program for Invertebrate
Paleontological Research


The Division of Invertebrate Paleontology at the Yale Peabody Museum is
pleased to announce the 2007 application deadline for the Grants-in-Aid
Program for systematic research.

Two awards up to $1,000 will be granted to graduate students or young
professionals who wish to visit our collections. The Yale Peabody Museum
holds one of the largest collections of invertebrate fossil material in
North America.  More information on our collection strengths, as well as a
searchable database of our Systematic and Stratigraphic Collections can be
found at the Division of Invertebrate Paleontology web page
(http://www.peabody.yale.edu/collections/ip/).

Funds may be used for transportation and housing expenses.  Proposals should
include a one-page description of a research project, anticipated time of
visit, a budget, and a letter of support from a faculty advisor.

Deadline for proposals: 15 January 2007
Notification by: 15 February 2007

Award recipients are expected to complete their Peabody visit by December
15, 2007.
