Voorhies, M.R.  1975.  Vertebrate burrows.  In, Frey, R.W., (ed.), The Study
of Trace Fossils, Springer-Verlag, New York, p. 325-350.

He discusses some nests more in the Neogene and Quaternary...  Good luck...
