Burramys, the Mountain Pygmy Possum. First described by Robert Broome from
fossils in Wombyean Caves NSW in the 1930's then found as a living species
in the 1960's.

Latimeria and Metasequoia are prime examples of taxa known as fossils 
before being found extant. What other examples are out there in the
