Hi everyone,
We have been working intensively in the Big Bend National Park region of Texas on the Cenomanian-Santonian Boquillas Fm. We would like to know if anyone is interested in pursuing a project on the C and O isotopes of this carbonate formation. We have a number of measured reference sections for the Ernst Member (lower) and San Vicente Member (upper) of the Boquillas. We have documented the location of the Cenomanian/Turonian, Turonian/Coniacian and Coniacian/Santonian Stage boundaries based on macrofossils. In addition, detailed mapping has been completed of the Boquillas Formation encompassing approximately 100 square kilometers. It would be very beneficial to this ongoing project to be able to reference stable isotope geochemistry. Samples can be provided. Cheers,
Dee Ann Cooper, BS, MS, PG
