Paleonet: Announcement of new prize in Palaeontology

[SAMPUZ]

Dear colleagues,

The non-profit association "Sociedad de Amigos del Museo 
Paleontológico de la Universidad de Zaragoza" (SAMPUZ) announces the 
newly-established prize "Lucas Mallada" (Premio Lucas Mallada de 
divulgación paleontológica aragonesa).  This award is seeking 
paleontologists interested in submitting articles dealing with 
popularization of Aragonian Paleontology.  The prize for the single 
winner will be 1.200 Euros.

Since many foreign palaeontologists have made their research in 
Aragón, we wish to spread this call through Paleonet.

Manuscripts should be written in Spanish in a style to address a 
general audience, and contain pictures of high quality.  The selected 
winning article will be published in Naturaleza Aragonesa (ISSN 
1138-8013), a full-colour journal devoted to popular palaeontology 
and science.

Deadline for submission: July 15, 2008 at 12:00 UTC.
