Jornadas de la Sociedad Espanola de Paleontologia
Ronda (Malaga) 24 - 26 September 2009

in such a website there is information about the meeting schedule,
field-trips, venue, etc.

The main topic of the meeting is

Darwin, la teoria de la evolucion y la paleontologia
(Darwin, the theory of evolution and palaeontology)

Other topics are related to IGCP projects, which have Spanish Working
Groups, such as 499 (Devonian ecosystems and climes), 506 (Marine and
non-marine Jurassic)..

or well, an open session to other contributions.

Both, poster and oral presentations are available.

It is possible to choose between two post-meeting field-trips:
-one more geologic, across the inner part of the Betic Cordillera, from
Ronda to Estepona (Malaga).
-other one is devoted to the Orce-Venta Micena (Granada) famous
Plio-Pleistocene vertebrate fossil locality, in the Guadix-Baza Basin.

In addition to this interesting schedule, you may enjoy the town of Ronda
and its Serrania (it is a hilly country).

During your website visit you will find links to tourism, cultural
informations, where you will enjoy and learn more about Ronda and its
people.

If you visit Ronda you will be not disappointed at all!
