Paleonet: Microfossils II Lodging and Registration Dates

Dear Microfossils II participants, NAMS members, and other potentially
interested parties,

 

Just a quick note with a few helpful items related to the upcoming
Microfossils II conference scheduled for March 14-19, 2009, at the
University of Houston, Houston, Texas, USA.

meeting logistics and the technical program. It is frequently updated as the
meeting date approaches.

 

1. DISCOUNTED PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE - FEBRUARY 22

 

Current, discounted meeting pre-registration fees are $285 for professionals
and $135 for students. Fees will increase after February 22 (to $335 and
$160, respectively), so please register early and save! Registration for
additional activities, such as workshops and the field trip, has additional
but modest fees (also less expensive before 2/22). Please visit the M2

2. HOTEL DEADLINE HAS PASSED, BUT.

 

The February 14 deadline for guaranteed discounted rates at the Hilton
University of Houston, our host hotel, has passed. If you are still in need
of a room, it can't hurt to call and see if they have rooms they would make
available to you at the conference rate. However, if they are not available,
we also have arrangements for well priced rooms at the Hilton Houston Hobby
airport, a short drive or taxi ride away. Hotel information, locations, and
