Paleonet: deepwater Ediacaran to Paleozoic faunas

What would be some likely faunal elements for deepwater facies from
the late Precambrian through mid-Paleozoic or so?  An enquiring
four-year old who wants to draw scenes from different times and
habitats wants to know.
