Dear colleagues,

A first announcement of the general meeting program and costs is now posted
online ( <http://www.sepm.org/nams> www.sepm.org/nams) for the upcoming
Microfossils II conference scheduled for March, 2009, in Houston, Texas,
USA.

The conference committee (General Chair Don Van Nieuwenhuise and vice-chairs
Ron Waszczak and Nancy Engelhardt-Moore) have recently completed logistical
arrangements for the meeting, including the general schedule of technical
sessions and auxiliary activities. Several excellent post-conference short
courses are offered as is a pre-conference field trip.

We are fortunate to have 110 abstracts that will constitute a high-quality,
three-day program of oral and poster presentations. In the next few weeks,
we will finalize and post online the schedule of presentations in the
technical program.

Please watch for a follow-up note from us when the registration page is made
available at the Society for Sedimentary Geology web site (SEPM) at
<http://www.sepm.org/> www.sepm.org. In addition, program information will
be updated on the NAMS web pages, <http://www.sepm.org/nams>
www.sepm.org/nams, and the SEPM conference pages,
<http://www.sepm.org/activities/researchconferences/microII/microIIhome.htm>
http://www.sepm.org/activities/researchconferences/microII/microIIhome.htm,
as the conference approaches.

Thanks for your consideration. We hope to see you in Houston!

Regards,

Pete McLaughlin
