Paleonet: rose Bengal

Dear Colleagues:

I request your advice on the purchase of rose Bengal stain (to detect 
foraminiferal cytoplasm).  Several years ago, I bought some that is 
relatively inexpensive, but it did not dissolve well and tended to 
have a low pH compared to another batch that I was given ( in a 
mystery bottle with no brand information) that had neither 
drawback.  I notice that there are at least a half dozen chemical 
houses that sell 25 grams of powder at prices ranging from $17 to 
$160 USD, including EMD, Spectrum, Alfa Aesar, MP Biomedicals, 
Thermo, and JT Baker.   What do you recommend?
