Paleonet: matrix of T. rex Sue

I have been asked a question about in what type of rock T. rex Sue  
was found.

There is plenty of information on the net about the composition of  
Hell Creek Formation and how Sue was found and dug out removing  
'matrix'. But I have not found anything about what type of matrix she  
was embedded in.

Does anybody out there know?  I would be grateful for any information.
