*NESCent Targeted Sabbaticals in Evolutionary Biology for MSI Faculty
*
The US National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent) is an NSF-funded
evolutionary biology research center in Durham, NC representing a
partnership of Duke University, North Carolina State University and The
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
As part of NESCent's commitment to increasing diversity in evolutionary
biology we offer targeted sabbatical opportunities to evolutionary
biologists from Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) to undertake projects
that will increase minority participation in evolutionary science and/or
develop evolution education activities.
NESCent provides stipends up to the equivalent of a full salary (monthly
stipend equal to 1/12th of a 9-month salary at home institution).
A housing allowance up to $1,000/month can also be provided.
Deadlines for NESCent Targeted Sabbaticals are July 10th and
December 1st each year. For more information and to apply, please see
http://www.nescent.org/science/targetedsabbatical.php or contact Dr. Jory
Weintraub (jory at nescent dot org).
