Workshop Micropaleontology  10./11.September 2011   Hamburg, Germany 

 
the Workshop is meant for beginners and amateurs as an introduction. It is held
in German. The focus is on pratical work with diverse samples reaching from deep
sea to near shore faunas and Cretaceous till recent. The participants will
practice photographing techniques and see SEM-imaging at work. Participants will
get samples, cells and the SEM-images for further studies at home. Find the

The costs will be 25€ only as the intention is to share our knowledge on
micropaleontology with others and work together in the future.

The AG Mikropaläontologie is a non-commercial group of about 15 amateurs working
on microfossils since long. Major outcomes are the foraminifera.eu - project,
exhibitions on foraminifera and diatoms, talks, an excursion program and
participation in publications. Members hold about 1200 recent and fossil
samples, 70+ plummercells are filled with up to 1500 specimens each. A SEM is
run.
