Dear Roy,

If you mean steroids as biomarkers, I would recommend

Peters, K.E., Walters, C.C. & Moldowan, J.M. 2007. The Biomarker Guide: Interpreting Molecular Fossils in Petroleum and Ancient Sediments. Cambridge University Press.

or any other text-books by Michael Moldowan.

I will be teaching a new course in the spring; an upper level earth
history course. Think of it as historical geology on steroids. Anyone
have experience with a course like this? Texts? Reading lists? etc.
Thanks for any suggestions! - Roy
