Dear Colleagues -
On behalf of Paleontological Research Institution, I am pleased to announce revitalization of PRI's Research Associates program.
Research Associates of Paleontological Research Institution are individuals with or without another institutional affiliation who regularly work in or with our collections, and/or collaborate with our staff researchers, and who use this affiliation (i.e., PRI's address) on scientific publications, correspondence, curriculum vitae, scientifically oriented websites, and/or other academic materials. Research Associates are featured on our research website and their publications are included in Annual Reports and similar documents that summarize the research activities of PRI staff members. Each Research Associate is sponsored by a staff researcher, and receives staff-level access to collections, library, and PRI letterhead and webpages for professional use.
Persons interested in Research Associate appointments should provide a current CV and solicit a supporting letter from an appropriate staff researcher stating the mutual benefits of such an appointment. Applications are reviewed and approved by the Science Committee of the PRI Board of Trustees. New appointments are made for three years and are renewable. Submit the application to: Dr. Paula M. Mikkelsen, Associate Director for Science, Paleontological Research Institution, 1259 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca, NY 14850, USA, Tel. 607-273-6623, ext. 20, Fax 607-273-6620, mikkelsen at museumoftheearth.org<mailto:mikkelsen at museumoftheearth.org>.
See http://www.museumoftheearth.org/research.php?page=905920 for information about current and past Research Associates. Please also visit our website for descriptions of our research collections and current research staff.
Best regards,
Paula Mikkelsen
