Job just posted in Ireland that would be eminently suitable for a vertebrate palaeontologist or, indeed, a paleontologist. I don't know the closing date, but UCD aim to appoint for a September 2011 start.

Please contact the Head of School, Thomas Bolger for more information (tom.bolger at or see the links below. Apologies for cross-posting.

Lecturer in Vertebrate Biology

University College Dublin is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Vertebrate Biology in the UCD School of Biology & Environmental Science. We are seeking candidates with a particular expertise in herpetology or ornithology. Their interests should lie in the area of evolution/evolutionary ecology and preferably have experience with vertebrate morphology.

Candidates should have a PhD in an appropriate discipline and will be expected to provide teaching of vertebrate biology to undergraduates primarily in the Zoology programme and to more general graduate programmes.
