Dear Paleonetters -
PRI is in possession of a very nice pencil drawing of the late Tom Dutro, USGS paleontologist, that came to us in materials from Tom's office in DC. It is "quintessential Tom" - complete with bolo tie and baseball cap - and so perfect that we have decided to frame it for our "Rogue's Gallery" of illustrious personages on our hallway walls here at PRI. It is signed and dated "JR '97" and on the reverse, reads "done while at John Day Basin, Sheep Station, 6/29/91, from Juliane" (presumably the artist). We have not yet identified the artist and are searching for her last name so that we can properly attribute the sketch. Can anyone supply?
Paula Mikkelsen
