You are cordially invited to contribute to our session. The deadline for 
submission of abstracts (May 15, 2013) and registration is approaching 
fast.

      Recent Developments in Mediterranean Paleoclimatology

The Mediterranean basin, situated between temperate Europe and 
subtropical Africa, is a very sensitive area and key in Neogene 
paleoclimate studies. In the last few decades, high-resolution 
paleoclimate studies, based on accurate chronologies, have been carried 
out in different paleoenvironmental setting, helping us to understand 
the main processes controlling past climate in this area.

Studies dealing with biological, geochemical or geophysical information 
from both terrestrial and marine records from the Mediterranean area and 
focused to highlight short- and or/ long-term paleoclimatic oscillations 
and/or events, are welcomed in this session.
