Greetings GSA Members!

We invite contributions to session T130 "A shifting Balance: Microbial versus Metazoan Influences on Ecology and Sedimentation in Space and Time"

This session will address the interplay between microbial and metazoan communities at different spatiotemporal scales and, in particular, their differing influences on sediment production, taphonomy, ecosystem engineering, and geochemical cycling in marine environments through time.

Keynote Talks:
- Modern experiments on microbial sedimentation by Tanja Bosak
- Geochemical consequences of metazoan vs microbial metabolisms by Sarah Greene
- Climate and extinction influence on deep time microbialites by Katrin Heindel
