Dear All,
There is only one month left before the abstract deadline for oral/poster
presentations at MORPH2015. MORPH2015 is a one-day conference designed to
showcase and highlight research in the use and implementation of
morphometric frameworks within archaeological analyses. Through
presentations and a lunchtime discussion group (optional) a forum and
network of archaeological morphometricians will be established; these
sessions will also allow us to discuss the role of morphometrics within
archaeological analyses and issues of equipment, knowledge and the
"meaning" of morphometric data/results. It will be a chance for
researchers of all levels in academia to promote their morphometric
research and receive feedback from experts within the field.
Abstracts are invited for any topics/research associated with the
implementation and use of traditional/geometric morphometric analyses
within archaeology. They can be from any stage of experimentation/analysis
with initial analyses/results welcomed. Abstracts should be between
200-300 words and should be submitted before 10th April 2015. All
presentations should be in English and last around fifteen minutes.
We are proud to announce that our keynote speakers will be Prof. Norman
MacLeod (Natural History Museum) and Prof. Mark Collard (Simon Fraser
University/Aberdeen University). Archaeopress will also be in attendance
with material relating to morphometric applications in archaeology.
For any more information on the conference please refer to the above two
links. Remember: both forms need to be finalised for registration to be
complete.
Kind regards,
Christian and Sarah
