Just sent to me:

Dear all

The Department of Earth Science, University of Bergen, has a vacancy for a
postdoctoral research fellow position within marine geology. The position
is for a period of four years and is associated with the project
“Reconstructing Quaternary basin configuration and evolution in the
central/northern North Sea” (REQUBE), which is funded by the Norwegian
Research Council (2017-2021).

The project/work tasks include:
 • Selecting material for, preparing for and overseeing dating
of foraminiferal samples from the Quaternary sediments in the North Sea by
the Sr and amino acid method.
• Combining Sr and amino acid data with results based on
paleomagnetics and biostratigraphy to develop optimal chronologies for the
thick Quaternary deposits in the North Sea.
• From sediment samples and acoustic data contribute to the
development of a framework for the changing sedimentary environment within
the North Sea through the Quaternary.
 • Interacting with project partners to develop an optimal
knowledge base for conducting backstripping modelling of the North Sea
Quaternary package.
