Paleonet: Summer Field Positions Open

The Museums of Western Colorado, Dinosaur Journey is looking to hire two temporary seasonal positions for 2017: 1) Paleontology Field Coordinator and 2) Paleontology Field Assistant.

These are seasonal/temporary full time position (35hrs/week) that will be primary field-based. These positions will provide an informative, engaging, and enjoyable experience for participants on public excavations; provide logistical and scientific support for field collection activities and outreach expedition program; assist on museum outreach events, such as Dinosaur Day; provide support for lab and exhibit work at the Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita, Colorado. Start and End dates are flexible, the MWC field season runs from Mid. May to Mid. August and is primarily based in the Colorado Plateau region of western Colorado. Excavations may include sites in the Morrison, Wasatch, Naturia (=Dakota), Chinle or Mancos formations.
