International Fossil Day, in partnership with the US National Fossil
Day, will be on or about October 11 this year. Institutes,
universities, museums, companies, schools, and individuals in many
countries celebrate these events with lectures, festivals, open
houses, posters, contests, demonstrations, special exhibits, etc. Show
off your national, state or province official fossil. Participants:
be imaginative and creative in the way you celebrate.

The celebrations can take place anytime in October depending on local
timing and conditions. Join in and let your world know the fun and
importance of fossils.

Sponsored by the International Paleontological Association
(http://www.ipa-assoc.org/index.php).

Please let us know about your International Fossil Day event for the
IPA at 周忠和 zhouzhonghe at ivpp.ac.cn, ydwang at nigpas.ac.cn, or

Best wishes to the USA National Park Service for another huge success
in its National Fossil Day.

The IPA hopes you have a wonderful time at IFD!
