Dear Colleagues,
Please excuse the cross posting, but I’m trying to get the word out on this important position announcement. I am an Associate Scientist with the Kansas Geological Survey and chair of our search committee seeking a new Associate Director for Research (ADR). The ADR will report to the Director and will provide strategic research leadership to Assistant- and Associate-ranked scientific staff, in addition to leading their own active research program. The position description mentions research relevant to Kansas, but please keep in mind that it does not have to be Kansas-centric; many of our scientists conduct national and international research programs. KGS has a growing and collaborative group of collaborative junior scientists, plus Lawrence is a great place to live, so we're hoping to find someone excellent for this exciting position! Please follow the link below for more information regarding the ADR position, KGS, and the University of Kansas.

Application review will begin December 16, though the position will remain open until filled. I’m sorry for the short notice, but I want to stress that we will be accepting applications after the 16th. I also invite you to bring this search to the attention of other qualified scientists. I am more than happy to discuss the position and answer any questions you might have.
Thank you for your consideration.
