Hi Martin;
My application will arrive within the next few days! and thank Cordula for
me for the e-mails earlier this month with the family news. I enjoyed
hearing about how the boys are doing and your activities. It has been
quiet here except that I've had house guests for the past 5 days until this
morning. The man was John's best boyhood friend and almost part of the
family. He and his wife live on a 50' sail boat in Chesapeake Bay and he
works in Washington DC, where he is leader of an agency that's responsible
for safety and useage practices for nuclear activities and material in the
military. Not a large agency, but it gives him a good insight of how our
government in Washington functions—apparently not very well or efficiently
to hear him tell about his experiences. Their son, who lives here locally
and is a cinematographer was also here, so it was an interesting time. I
will go to Tennessee in a week for the baptism of my 2nd great-grand
child -- John's grandson Leo. Then, I'll be home and waiting to hear if
you'll be able to come by when you're at the meeting in Riverside.
