Hi Mike,
I've done the large foram scan by using MicroCT. Have to say CT is better for foram with complicated internal structures. I've attached my paper (about fossil foram scan and render) here and wish it could help. Let me know if you need further information.
Best wishes
Yukun

Subject: Paleonet: Digitizing Microfossils
Hi Everyone,
We are looking to extend GB3D, the UK type fossils database (http://www.3d-fossils.ac.uk/ ) into microfossils, and this will involve the 3d digitization of mostly isolated forams, conodonts and ostracods. What equipment do list-members suggest for working with these groups? - we have been considering the Alicona Infintefocus and Photogrammetry. Any suggestions much appreciated. Is there any relevant literature?
Regards.
Mike
