We are looking for a research/technical specialist with a background in
(paleo)biology/paleontology to join our PARADIVE Project Team at the
University of Warsaw:

The position is available for (up to) 3 years.

Main focus: Working in close collaboration with the PARADIVE team in
developing and maintaining fossil databases and website as well as fossil
preparation, imaging (microscopy, tomography) and cataloguing fossil
specimens ranging from marine invertebrates to vertebrate coprolites.

Main responsibilities: • contribute to and maintain lab website and
associated databases, • fossil preparation, • microscopy and computed
tomography of coprolites to invertebrates remains, • help in data mining
the literature, • participation in outreach and workshop activities and aid
with organisational duties of the group.

Key requirements: • first-hand experience with fossil imaging (computed
tomography, microscopy), fossil preparation and/or database/website
management, • English language skills are required.

Desirable is also: • a BSc or MSc in palaeontology, geosciences or biology,
• experience in quantitative methods of ecology, paleoecology and
palaeobiology, • broad experience with fossil taxonomy and literature

Beneficial would be experience with quantitative analyses and/or
programming.
