Dear Mollusciphiles,

After much hand-wringing on my part, Chapman University made the decision
easy: We are going remote.

The 26th meeting of the Southern California Unified Malacologists, SCUM
XXVI, will be held *remotely* on February 5, 2022.

I am hoping that all of you who have sent me titles for your talks will
still present them on Zoom. Furthermore, I am also hoping that many of you
who could not travel to Chapman University to give a talk, will now be able
(and willing!) to give your talk from the comfort of your own home scar
(see attached). If you haven’t already, please email me at
wwright at chapman.edu with your talk titles (and whether you want a 5 or 10
minute slot).

I will strive to follow in the footsteps of Vanessa Delnavaz’s fantastic
meeting last year to make this year’s meeting as interactive as possible
over Zoom, including breakout rooms for people to mingle in smaller groups.

I will send another email by Thursday with the zoom links and more. I will
ask you to post your power point talks on an appropriate platform.

Please contact me, William Wright (wwright at chapman.edu) should you have any
questions!

Best regards,

Bill
