Paleonet: TMSoc's 2022 Calendar Competition

I am writing to you today in my capacity as The Micropalaeontological
Society's Publicity Officer.
The Micropalaeontological Society (http://tmsoc.org/) exists “to advance
the education of the public in the study of Micropalaeontology” and is
operated “exclusively for scientific and educational purposes and not for
profit” and we are a registered UK charity. We also sponsor conferences,
workshops and public outreach events; award grants to early career
researchers to support their educational activities and career awards to
early, mid and senior researchers. Lastly, we have our own scientific
journal: The Journal of Micropalaeontology.

Since 2014, the society has held a micropalaeontology themed image
competition, where the winning images are compiled into a calendar. This
has been immensely popular, with plenty of beautiful images being submitted
each year. I am delighted to announce that* the competition is back this
year where the winning images will be used both in the TMSoc calendars and
will be featured on the society's Redbubble store*. Please may I ask if you
would circulate the below email to your department and groups within your
organisation, and/or to other groups who may be interested? I understand if
this is not possible.

Images have no standard form - we've had everything from scanning electron
microscope images, x ray computed tomography scan reconstructions, images
of chemically analysed microfossils to paintings and images in other
artistic media. If you need some inspiration, take a look at previous
years' submissions on our Flickr feed!

*The overall winner will be awarded 200 Euros for their winning image and
the top twelve winning images will feature in the TMSoc's Calendar and on
