Hello Everyone,
If you are interested or working with Mixed-Reality (AR/VR/XR/etc) we are
hosting a session on these topics at this year's Annual GSA meeting in
Pittsburgh,
PA (15-18 October).
Please consider submitting an abstract to session *T35: Exploring the
borders and boundaries of mixed reality in the geosciences*
This session aims to stimulate cross-disciplinary conversation and
collaborations and provide a platform for the geoscience community to share
their experiences on the use of mixed reality (MR) in their field,
including:
- MR applications and case studies in geology, geophysics,
geomorphology, hydrology, and other geoscience disciplines.
- Technical challenges and possible best practices for MR development
and deployment in the geosciences.
- Opportunities for collaboration and interdisciplinary research in MR
and the geosciences.
- Implications of MR for the future of geoscience education, workforce
development, and public engagement.
Depending on submissions, we can integrate demos into either the speaking
or poster sessions!
The abstract submission portal is open now @
https://community.geosociety.org/gsa2023/
<https://community.geosociety.org/gsa2023/home>
The *abstract deadline* is 11:59 p.m., Pacific Time, *25 July* *2023*.
Share freely and we hope to see you in Pittsburgh!
Cheers,
Mike
