PaleoNet: Workshop: Stratigraphic correlation using Bayesian methods

Dear all,

StratoBayes<https://stratobayes.github.io/> is a forthcoming R package that uses a Bayesian framework to automatically align stratigraphic sections, providing age-depth models with realistic uncertainty estimates. We have developed this package to improve the temporal resolution of palaeontological events. It can integrate geochemical or geophysical signals and absolute age constraints (such as radiometric dates).

We are hosting a workshop to introduce StratoBayes and its methods in Durham, UK, on March 19th-20th, with an optional introduction to R on March 18th.
