Dear all,
Applications are now open to the University College London (UCL) Research Excellence PhD Scholarship (fully funded), and the Department of Earth Sciences is happy to support any prospective applicants. The scholarship is open to applicants from any country and selection criteria is based on academic merit and research potential.
The study of past life in the Department of Earth Sciences at UCL ranges from the smallest and most abundant fossils (such as microscopic plankton and forams) to the largest animals ever to walk on land, the gigantic sauropod dinosaurs, and includes the search for Earth’s oldest organisms and the origins of animals.
Further information on research groups and potential supervisors in the department can be found at: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/earth-sciences/research/research-groups/palaeontology.
I would be particularly interested in supporting any applicants interested in corals, marine biodiversity, macroecology, and/or conservation palaeobiology.
If you have any potentially interested students, please forward this email. Further information and eligibility criteria are available here: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/scholarships/research-excellence-scholarship.
All the best,
Lewis
