Hi

As long as you can identify a holotype specimen (and possible paratypes, preferably cited as such), and present figures (however obtained), you follow the usual procecures of the relevant Code (ICZN or ACNAFP). In the case of animal remains, remember to register in Zoobank.

Cheers,
Franz-Josef

Describing new fossil taxa that can only be seen with uncommon instrumentation

Dear colleagues:

What are the guidelines, if any, concerning the description of fossil taxa that can only be seen (this far) using uncommon instrumentation, such as neutron scattering? If you have any constructive feedback, please send it directly to me. Thanks.

Sincerely,

Jorge

P.S. Apologies for potential repeated emails.
