Dear Colleagues,

This is the announcement of the Taphos 2025 meeting to be held in Ferrara,
Italy from June 17th to 19th, 2025.

Taphos-2025 represents the 10th International Meeting on Taphonomy and
Fossilization, continuing the tradition of meetings that have been
regularly held in Europe since 1990. The aims of these meetings have been
to integrate all aspects of current taphonomic research from both a
palaeontological and archaeological standpoint with presentations including
talks and posters. A post-symposium field trip is planned and will visit
both the Po Delta Park on the Adriatic coast, one of the UNESCO MaB
Biosphere Reserves, and the Museo Delta Antico in Comacchio (Ferrara).

Ferrara is conveniently located in Northern Italy close to many touristic
destinations and transport hubs. Ferrara can be reached by car, train or
airplane. The town is close to the Bologna airport which is connected to
Ferrara by both airport bus and local train services. Venezia and Milano
airports are also within a few hours train trip.

Further information about the meeting and registration details are in the
website:

On behalf of the local organizing committee, we look forward to welcoming
you to Ferrara in June 2025.

Yours sincerely,

Davide Bassi
